PCA is proud to recognize cattlemen and women who have made a positive impact upon the sustainability of the Pennsylvania Beef Industry. Through their significant contributions, the use and implementation of programs such as animal performance evaluations, best management practices, and Beef Quality Assurance to ensure the advancement and continued success of the Pennsylvania Beef Industry, PCA continues to recognize operations that uphold sustainability practices in their everyday life.
PCA’s Environmental Steward of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding stewardship practices and conservation achievements of Pennsylvania cattle producers from across our great state. Award winners are highly praised for their commitment to protecting the environment and caring for also operating profitable cattle operations. Our hope is to recognize operations with a desire to leave the land better than they found it for the next generation of Pennsylvania cattle producers.
Note: Nominees do not need to be members. On top of winning the award recognition, winners will receive 1 (one) year PCA membership free.
The deadline to submit a nomination is January 15, 2024.
Any individual, group, or organization is eligible to nominate one individual/farm who raises or feeds cattle. Individuals and families may not nominate themselves. However, we expect nominees will be involved in the preparation of the application in order to accurately describe the operation’s sustainable practices.
